A recent survey conducted across France shows that the French people as a whole are very fond of the Brittany region.
Key findings include;
- Just over 96% of French people say that they have a ‘good image’ of the Brittany region.
- Of these people over half (53%) say that they have a ‘very good image’ of the region.
- A ‘very good image’ response seems to increase with age with 38% of young people between 18 to 24 years up to 63% among people aged 65 years and over.
- Only 1% of people interviews have a critical view of Brittany.
- When asked about the most symbolic image of Brittany 38% responded ‘Saint Malo’ with people from Paris most likely to think of this symbol whilst people from the West of France are more likely to mention ‘Gulf de Morbihan (28%).
And the nations thoughts on the Breton people? The results are all complementary with attributes including ‘authentic’, ‘courageous’ but ‘stubborn’!
