Brittany is home to a rich variety of fantastic golf courses, ranging from the luscious parkland courses in the heart of the Breton countryside, to the links courses overlooking the spectacular Breton coastline. These well maintained courses have largely been ignored by the masses over the years, but despite a growing popularity, are a perfect way to get away from the crowds and still offer great value green fees.

The courses take full advantage of the natural surroundings, and offer challenges for all levels of golfers, often with spectacular views, leading to a growing reputation as a golfing region.

The par 68 links course at Dinard is the second oldest in France, having been designed by Tom Dunn in 1887, and offers a very Scottish feel amongst the gorse and dunes,  with sea views from each individually named hole.

Set in wooded parkland at the heart of a grand 370 acre estate, Les Ormes is a delightful and challenging golf course set amongst the huge ancient trees, some with impressive tree-houses which are part of the superb facilities available.

The 11th hole at Pleuneuf Val Andre is considered by some as the most beautiful in France, if not the world, with the tee sitting high above the long fairway, bordered by the spectacular coastline. It is not technically difficult, but is somewhat exposed if the wind picks up.

The Rhuys-Kerver golf course on the southern coast of Brittany is a genuine links course at the heart of a bird sanctuary, and offers flat fairways, numerous water hazards and fantastic coastal views.
