The 2010 Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale, a 3510 mile non-stop, single- handed transatlantic race from Saint Malo to Pointe a Pitre, Guadaloupe will be run again in 2014.

The race takes place every four years.
Over 200,000 people watched the boats depart in 2006, while 1.2 million visitors visited the race village in the week leading up to the start. Of the
74 boats that started in 2006, 61 made it to Guadaloupe, with
Lionel Lemonchois covering the distance between Saint Malo and Pointe à Pitre in a breathtaking 7 days 17 hours and 19 minutes.
This year, there are 87 participating boats, who will be moored in the basin in front of the walled city surrounded by the extensive race village.
The race village is open every day from 10am Saturday 23rd October until the 31st October. The village offer a variety of displays, entertainment and exhibitions for all ages.
